Meet Our Team
The Pintura Team is led by JD McDowell, our General Manager, Darryl Zunker, and the rest of our staff. Who are committed to providing our clients with outstanding customer service and superior paint products. We pride ourselves in making sure our clients feel taken care of. That’s why we will order any paint or product for our customers to make sure their project is treated the way it should be. JD McDowell has 25 years experience in the restaurant business with 8 of those years as Director of Operations and VP of Finance. JD is originally from the valley and moved to San Antonio 10 years ago. He is married to Natalie and has four children (2 year old daughter, 6 year old daughter, 17 year old son and a 23 year old son.
Darryl Zunker is our General Manager who has been in the painting industry for almost 45 years. His vast knowledge and experience with paint is crucial to our business. He is the key component to not only maintaining our customer relations but building upon those relations with a “Go above and beyond” attitude that keeps our customers coming back for all their paint needs and projects.
Dominic Garcia is our Color Expert with over 10 years of experience mixing and match paint. We rely heavily on his color knowledge, unparalleled matching expertise, along with his superior customer service. He helps assist in everyday operations while also spearheading new marketing strategies and social media engagement. Customers rave over the amazing job he does for them!
Zachary Chapa is a dedicated and enthusiastic team member, helping customers find the right products for their projects. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for customer service, Zach assists with warehouse management, maintenance coatings, special ordering, new product handling and product availability.
Lisa Salazar is our Internal Sales Consultant. She supports our general manager Darryl in maintaining the operations of the store as a whole. She is the warm smile you see as you walk through our doors. With almost 30 years of paint experience, she is not only an expert in paint products but is here to help with any paint specs or knowledge you need. From application, dry time, to clean up, she knows the answer!
